Candle Power

These are my new friends, Richard and Louise.  Why?  Because that's the way God wants it.  He is in the business of restoring relationships.  That's what righteousness is all about. The definition of righteousness is "right standing", right standing before God and man. Most often when we hear about righteousness, we hear about right standing with God.  That's only half of its intended definition.  It's right standing with God and man.  

Now, it is true that we are the light of the world.

Salt and Light (Matthew 5)
13You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its savor, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. 14You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a basket. Instead, they set it on a lampstand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.…

And light shines bright in the darkness. There is illumination that the darkness sees because we shine His light into this world. But God wants to increase the candlepower. 

Candlepower is a unit expressing luminous intensity. It expresses levels of light intensity in terms of the light emitted by a candle of specific size and constituents. In modern usage candlepower equates directly to the unit known as the candela.

You can increase the candlepower just by bringing more candles together. This is His intention with his bride. He is bringing us together until we are as one. One giant unified candle with enormous candlepower.

Prayer for all Believers (John 17)
…21that all of them may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I am in You. May they also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22I have given them the glory You gave Me, so that they may be one as We are one — 23I in them and You in Me—that they may be perfectly united, so that the world may know that You sent Me and have loved them just as You have loved Me.…


This is all for His glory so that the world may know that God the Father sent Jesus. By us being unified, by increasing the candlepower, the world will see Jesus and we all will be one, connected, unified.


Don't pass up the opportunity to connect with those around you. We all have the responsibility to put our faith into action, risk rejection and speak out his love. The result is unity for the bride and glory for our King.  Speak up.
