The Power of Blood

Blood is a red fluid that contains a mixture of cells suspended in liquid which is transported throughout the body of an organism.   It is an astounding subtance that shows the very fingerprint of God.  It circulates around the body by the heart and delivers oxygen and other important nutrients to cells of organs and tissues, while at the same time, removing waste product from our body.   Blood is located in almost every part of our body, which is due to the network of blood vessels called the circulatory system (see diagram). In order for blood to carry out its functions, it needs to circulate all over our body to all living cells.  It has to come into contact to release its power.  Thus, it is the fluid of life, a vital life force that all humans need in order to live and sustain life.

This definition is merely an earthly explaination of the power of blood.  Blood also has a spiritual side.  It has power to deliver and remove just as the physical blood does.  When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden their blood was tainted.  It became impure and they passed this impurity to all of humanity through their children.  So we are all born into impurity.  We are born into sin.  There is no escape.  We are all born with a BARRICADE, but the blood...

Blood that was sacrified by God in the beginning to cover Adam and Eve's sin came from an animal.  It's power was temporary as the blood decayed and the sin still shows through.  The sin is always there.  It was not removed.  It is only covered.  This kind of impure blood must be continually replaced, yearly in fact in order to cover the sin that lies underneath.

But the blood of one man was pure.  It was not tarnished by sin.  His blood is much more powerful.  It's incomprehensible.  This man IS Jesus.  He alone has the power in his blood to carry out the spiritual function of deliverance and removal.  His blood doesn't cover your sin.  His blood destroys it.  There will be no sin underneath.  There will be no need to continually sacrifice to cover the sin.  It is gone.  The best part is that obtaining this blood is the easiest thing to do.

The Message translation of the Bible says this about Jesus, his blood, the removal of sin, and salvation.

"The word that saves is right here,
      as near as the tongue in your mouth,
      as close as the heart in your chest.
It's the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for you. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God—"Jesus is my Master"—embracing, body and soul, God's work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That's it. You're not "doing" anything; you're simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That's salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: "God has set everything right between him and me!"

So what is stopping you from saying it right now??? Nothing.  Trust, put your faith in Jesus, and your sin will be removed.  You will be delivered by the power of HIS BLOOD..
